It’s easy to soothe someone’s feelings, say by renaming something. It’s an easy fix and one of many fairly useless things on the list of possible actions to be taken by our politicians in order for them to be able to come to you and say, “See? We now call this thing a different name. Isn’t that great? How about a campaign contribution?”
