Two Reporters, Two Paths, One Deadly Outcome, is now available on Amazon
Exciting, thrilling, tense, dramatic, funny, tragic. One page propels you to the next as you follow the drama of two local reporters covering a false flag operation.
— it’s political. It has a point of view. It takes a hard look at the times we live in and, in particular, the ravages of the Trump era on our increasingly divided culture.
— it’s timely. The story takes place in the spring of 2026, and is relevant for the upcoming midterm elections and the threats to democracy that we face today.
— it’s local but with an overriding national theme.
— Set in Sacramento, California, it is a tale of the right wing media ecosystem that has infected even local TV affiliates and threatens independent news organizations.
— it has memorable characters:
— Jenny Jarvis, the ambitious TV reporter who curries favor among right wingers by willingly accepting their spin to sell the narrative that an assassination culture among Leftists must be met with the firepower of the federal government.
— Elena Holmes, the reporter for the nonprofit online Capitol newspaper, who without fear and in the face of mortal peril, chases down the story of who is behind two bombings of Republican offices.
— Otis Chandler, the Sacramento State University Young Republican who, with the aid of a Big Tech recruiter, sets off bombs against his own party as a false flag to pin blame on Democrats.
There’s so much more, but the story is so good, I’ll let you uncover the rest.
