Bob and Andrew’s Stadium Road Trip Part 2: Fenway
This episode, part of Bob and Andrew’s and Paul Revere’s Midsummer/Midnight ride, takes us to baseball’s oldest ballpark in the quest for historical knowledge and the best stadium experience. No way this sucks, chowda heads. The hated Yankees are in town.
I have never seen such an abominable podcast episode. The intro is flawed, the music had nothing to do with baseball, Bob talks to himself, and Andrew speaks over Bob several times. The hosts speak so casually that it is a nuisance. Bob uses unnecessarily crass language with his 12-year-old son sitting next to him. The audio quality is horrendous, Andrew breathes on the microphone many times throughout the episode, and the driving noise in the background is always present, giving listeners a sense of annoyance. A question on my mind is, why did Bob make the first episode in eight years, filled with such low-quality, unprofessional dialogue? It is a question that we may never get the answer to since Bob is a master at avoiding the topic, as seen numerous times in this episode and his teaching career.
