Game three Edman swinging at everything neck and higher. Then can’t get low enough to field what should have been an inning-ending double play. Catcher Alejandro Kirk then got enough of a hanging breaking ball to hit it into the seats. 

After Freddie Freeman was safe on what appeared to be a tie or a bad call during a stolen base attempt,, third base coach Dino Ebel sends Freeman on a hard-hit ball to right field. Addison Barger, who had nine outfield assists this year and throws between 94 and 100, threw Freeman out by four feet. 

Glasnow pulled for Banda. Oh , goody. Banda gets Barger to pop out. 

Can’t blame John Schneider for bringing in Mason Fluharty to face Ohtani in the fifth inning of Game 3. Fluharty had all but neutered Ohtani in Game 1. But this time Ohtani laid off of the sliders outside and got enough of a hanging curve to split the outfielders and drive in Kike. 4-3 Blue Jays.  

Freeman hooks one down the line to score Kike and tie the game. 

Can’t make the first or third out at third base. Dodgers get a break when Clement can’t get Kike at first.  But Teoscar tries to go first to third and gets thrown out at third on a beautiful throw by Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

Guerrero later reaches out and hits a decent pitch by Treinen into center. 

Bo Bichette took ten pitches to line one down the right field line. The ball then. Hits the leg of the audio moron holding a plastic dish. No call. Guerrero beats the throw as Hernandez Baltimore chop that no one can do anything with and then Varsho cues one to Muncy, who can’t do anything with it.

Meeting on the mound should have gone something like, “Don’t  give this guy anything that isn’t in the dirt or in his ear.” Dominguez put one down the middle of the plate, which Ohtani would have looked at every at bat for the last month…but not this night. Opposite field 5-5 

Bullpen tries to blow the game again.  Sasaki comes in and gets Lukes to ground out to him although Sasaki almost botched the toss to Freeman at first. 

Varsho off Freeman’s glove. Edman makes up for the error and nails kiner falefa at third. 

Sasaki walks Kirk to put two on. Brings up Straw. With Clayton Kershaw warming up straw Grounds out to Muncy. 

Bottom of the ninth. Pages eight pitch at bat.  Pops out. Schneider chooses to walk Ohtani which is the obvious choice given Ohtani’s night. But Mookie Betts has homered twice off of Hoffman. 

Ohtani almost falls down stealing second but then gets hit in the seeds by Kiner Falefa and falls off the bag.

Quote of the night: Joe Davis. “We’ve got baseball bingo for sure.”

Enter Emmet Sheehan who has been torched all postseason.  With Guerrero on deck Lukes ropes one to right. Teoscar plays the ball perfectly, throws a strike to Edman who throws a strike to Smith at home. Schneider out by two feet. 

Bottom of the tenth. Freeman misses two down the pike. Smith gets hit.  Hoffman is a home run serving ninja during the year carves the outside with a slider at 89.  Muncy misses the fastball at 95. Splitter freezes him. 

Teoscar up. Yanks a hanger into left past a diving Clement. Edman up. The chance for redemption.

Sheehan inexplicably mows down the 3-4-5 hitters. 

Pages finally ropes one.  Out at third. 

Intentional walk to Ohtani. 

Betts watches two hangers go by for strikes and barely gets enough of the third to pull it into left. Up steps Freeman. 

Lofts one into left. 

12th. Sheehan walks Kirk. Tyler Heineman pinch runs. Straw watches  fastball for a strike after squaring late to bunt   Then bunts foul. Second in the league with 11sacrifice bunts this year. 0-2. Sheehan almost throws one to Long Beach. Straw pops the bunt right to Freeman who catches it, jump turns to throw to first and then inexplicably fails to throw to Edman covering. Ground out to second. David Schneider up. Sheehan shaves the outside corner at the knees and then at the belt. Then he throws a dirt ball. 3-2. 

Schneider hits the third crap ball in the infield of the night. Muncy stretches to try for the force. Heineman breaks late but manages to beat the ball. 

Kershaw.

Fastball low. Mark Wegner. Misses a perfect pitch on the corner. Kershaw fastball strike. Pitch int the dirt. 3-2. Lukes fouls one down the line. Fastball fouled away. Would have been ball four. Another crap ball to Edman. He races in and shovels the ball from his glove to get Lukes by half a step. 

Bottom. Smith waves at a breaking ball. Muncy hits one to the moon. Teoscar. 3-5

Henriquez . 101 102. Two down fast. Hits Varsho. Heineman flies out. 

Edman turned around to bat righty because of Lauer now being in the ball game. Double to right. 

Dodgers bench postseason hero Kike Hernandez and call up Miguel Rojas. Rojas saves his own life by bunting the ball to advance Edman to third. 

Alex Call replaces the slumping Pages. Ohtani gets walked intentionally again. Seven times he has reached base 

That brings up Mookie Betts. Intentionally walked. 

When was the last time Anyone intentionally walked anybody to get to Freddie Freeman.  

High fly ball to left center and…out. 

Straw flies out to center. Clement grounds out. Gimenez fouls one off both thighs.

Smith high drive to left. He flips the bat. Then. He realizes.  It’s not out for sure. It is out. though. Out in the glove of Varsho. I tell my wife. He has power. But he doesnt have power like Muncy. 

Muncy hits one to space…foul.
